  • World War I Through French Eyes offers you a view into the life of the men and women who defended their country during the period of the First World War from 1914 - 1918.
    “The Poilu” presents an introduction to who the Poilu was and what they sacrificed for their country.
    “The Faces” presents a series of photo albums organized by year of the conflict.
    “The Table” organizes each identified combatant by their individual information, military and civilian.
    “The Stories” presents an article detailing the journey of an individual soldier published every Monday.

  • The objective of this project is to preserve the stories of those who lived during the period of 1914 - 1918.
    If an ancestor is not present on the site, using information such as year of birth, place of birth, date of decease, military registration number, it is possible to retrace their experience through the course of the war.
